What is ALPIMS?

ALPIMS looks at the whole person when health concerns and different needs overlap. We help you explore practical options that fit what you can manage today.

A little more about our approach

The letters represent six areas: Anxiety & Autonomic, Laxity & Connective Tissue, Pain, Immune & Inflammatory, Mood, and Sensory & Neurodevelopmental.

These areas help organise information about overlapping experiences. They are not a diagnosis or a claim that every condition has the same cause.

We consider your functional capacity: what you can manage, sustain and recover from, with suitable adaptations and support.

Our wellbeing guidance starts with the NIH Your Healthiest Self wellness toolkits. ALPIMS adds practical adaptations for different needs and capacities.

Our question is: “How can this be made workable for you?”

What would you like to explore?

Four places to start.

Your Healthiest Self Care for your wellbeing.

Explore your body, feelings, surroundings, relationships and ways to protect your health.

We use the NIH wellness toolkits as a starting point, with ALPIMS adaptations to help make suggestions manageable.

For example: a routine may need fewer steps, sensory adjustments, rest breaks or practical help.
