Some resources for pain that we find helpful include

Chronic Overlapping Pain Conditions

All of these conditions are poorly understood and predominantly affect women. When a person is affected by two or more of these conditions at the same time, they are referred to as Chronic Overlapping Pain Conditions (COPCs). The complexity of overlap among COPCs is shown in this figure. Any combination of conditions is possible. A mechanism known as central sensitisation is involved.

Interstitial cystitis (IC) – also known as painful bladder syndrome and bladder pain syndrome – is characterized by pain, pressure or discomfort of the bladder in the absence of infection or other pathology. Sufferers also typically experience urinary frequency and urgency and may have pain during or after intercourse.

People with IC/PBS can benefit from dietary changes and other lifestyle modifications. Improving mental health is also usually a part of treatment.
