It started as something simple our middle child wanted to take to a friend’s party — a giant birthday cookie instead of a cake.
It turned out to be a hit.
Before long it became the go-to birthday gift for many of the parties the kids went to.
Easy to transport, easy to share, and somehow always more exciting than a regular cake.
In fact, after a while it was often specifically requested.
Sometimes the simplest ideas end up becoming the family traditions everyone remembers.
